The Institut national du patrimoine participates in the development of international cooperation in initial and continuing education in the field of heritage, by joining forces with local university partners. In particular, it works in the Mediterranean basin, China and Africa.
The international relations service of the Institut national du patrimoine, in partnership with the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, provides support to all those involved in culture and heritage in a given country: ministries of culture, museums, conservation centres, higher education establishments, cultural non-governmental organisations (NGOs), etc. It provides expertise and, based on an analysis of needs, proposes the development of training programmes focused on developing skills and know-how in the fields of heritage conservation and restoration, or on missions to safeguard or conserve-restore cultural, natural, scientific or archaeological heritage. It acts as an advisor to countries and organisations that express an interest.
The Institute's consultancy services are aimed at all those involved in a country's vocational training system: politicians, vocational training institutions, companies and professional associations, as well as other stakeholders.
They may concern the qualification of vocational training staff, the evaluation of vocational training components and projects or the creation of a vocational training institute.
